KICKING OFF OUR 47th YEAR
The six-2010 QBR Camps this summer were as successful as ever, as close to 1,000 quarterbacks, receivers and running backs in passing offenses attended the four-day, three-night sessions throughout the U.S. We have received numerous emails, letters and phone calls from coaches, players and parents telling us how much they appreciated what QBR Camp did for their aspiring football players. Click here to view some of the testimonials.
We are planning for the 47th year of QBR Camp in 2011. The tentative dates for next summer's camps are:
Arkansas - June 9 -12
Georgia - June 23 - 26
California #1 - June 23 - 26
New Jersey - June 30 - July 3
Ohio - July 7-10
California #2 - July 14 -17
Many thanks for your support and sharing with others why QBR Camp is the #1 football camp for up-and-coming players. It's where the fundamentals are stressed and practiced and studied at nine field sessions and five position meetings over the four days with college, high school and youth coaches and a 1:10 coach to camper ratio.
There are 47-years worth of reasons why QBR Camp is considered to be THE camp for young quarterbacks and receivers and running backs in passing offenses ...and why QBR Camp has been preparing athletes since 1965!
Best wishes for a successful 2010 season. Be sure to let us know how things are progressing and any awards you may receive over the course of the fall campaign.
Kind regards,
Dr. Laird Hayes

QBR COACH PRO-FILE
by Bobby Acosta
New Jersey QBR Camp Coordinator
As the Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receiver Coach at The College of New Jersey, you will find only one camp in the country that focuses strictly on quarterback and wide receiver fundamentals.
That is the Quarterback and Receiver Camp, or "QBR Camp" for short.
QBR Camp is the nation’s premier developmental camp for quarterbacks and wide receivers. The camp’s main objective is to provide a great and safe atmosphere for an athlete to enhance their skill level, develop friendships, and get a taste of real life experiences.
The best part of this overnight camp for coaches is when you get the opportunity to connect with the campers during lunch, prior to meetings, in the game room, and or just having a conversation prior to a practice.
The campers will experience quality coaching and supervision. QBR Camp follows a strict guideline that has helped develop many outstanding QBs and wide receivers around the country.
QBR attracts campers from all across the country and what is impressive is that we see many campers year after year. We also receive constant emails from past campers. What separates this camp from others is the building of relationships because of the structure that has been in existence since 1965.
QBR Camp has been great to me as a coach and has also given me the opportunity to grow in my profession. I strongly recommend that any serious young quarterback or receiver attend QBR Camp as soon as possible in their football development.
I’ve seen amazing results and improvement during my time coaching at QBR. It is THE camp that I would recommend above all others.

QBR Camper Testimonial
Dear Dr. Hayes and QBR Camp Staff:
Just a short note to tell you that I was very impressed with the camp and how much my son, Zach, improved during the four days and three nights.
As a former professional football player a couple of things jumped out at me as I watched all of the training sessions at camp.
First, the key to any good program and or position is fundamentals, and as I walked around I could see just that - repetitions in the fundamental areas for both the WR and QB positions.
The other thing that was apparent, especially at the WR position, was the passion each of the coaches had for what they were doing.
I always say kids do not care what you know until they know that you care.
It was very evident that the coaches absolutely cared, and as a result got the most out of the kids.
Once again thanks for the wonderful experiences.
There is no doubt in my mind we will be back at one of next year’s QBR Camps.
Regards,
Chris Marcus

TIPS FROM THE BERKELEY WELLNESS LETTER
Self-Care: If you have trouble swallowing pills, take a swallow of fluid before you put the pill in your mouth--advance lubrication helps. And put the pill or capsule as far back on your tongue as possible. Try drinking from a soda bottle or any similar bottle: by keeping your lips on the bottle as you drink, you’ll set up a sucking action that makes the pill go down.
Fitness: Always ice an acute injury immediately. Continue icing every 20 minutes during the next 48 hours. Applying heat can increase inflammation if done within the first day or two.
Food and Nutrition: When reading menus, watch out for these terms, which are giveaways to high-calorie, fatty foods: creamed, crispy, breaded, à la king, croquettes, carbonara, parmigiana, meunière, tempura, fritters, fritto, Alfredo, au gratin, au beurre, batter-dipped, bearnaise, béchamel and hollandaise.
