Quote of the Month
"Those who are not looking for happiness are the most likely to find it, because those who are searching forget that the surest way to be happy is to seek happiness for others."

TRADITION CONTINUES IN NEW LOCATION

QBR Camp Moves to Ohio! Plus: Quarterback & Receiver Discount Package

Dr. Laird Hayes, NFL Side Judge 125 and QBR Camp CEO said, "We're very excited to announce a new location for our upcoming training next year in Ohio."

The new Midwest site is in Ohio at Dominican University, Columbus. Next year, Dominican University will be celebrating its centennial as a four year, liberal arts college.

Quarterback and Receiver Camp looks forward to quarterbacks, receivers and running backs drilling the football fundamentals in camps across the US. Passing offenses and player strategy are featured in the sessions over the four-day, three-night stay in campus lodging.

We have received numerous emails, letters and phone calls from coaches, players and parents telling us how much they appreciate what QBR Camp did for their aspiring football players. Click here to view some of the testimonials.

We are planning for the best and 47th year of QBR Camp! Many thanks for your support and sharing with others why QBR Camp is the #1 football camp for up-and-coming players. It's where the fundamentals are stressed and practiced and studied at nine field sessions and five position meetings over the four days with college, high school and youth coaches and a 1:10 coach to camper ratio.

All my best wishes to you for a successful 2010 season. Please, let us know by emailing QBR Camp at info@footballcamp125.com how things are progressing and any awards you may receive over the course of the fall campaign.

Kind regards,

Dr. Laird Hayes

QBR COACH PRO-FILE

QBR Coach Goes The Full 9 Yards

by Jeff Wainwright

Arkansas QBR Camp Coach,QBR Coach Jeff Wainwright
Head Football Coach,
Kinder High School, Kinder, Louisiana

As the game of football grows more complex, developing a quarterback is more critical now than ever. A lot of high school and junior high offenses are quarterback driven and it is necessary for young quarterbacks to be fundamentally sound.

It is my job as a QBR coach to develop these skills for our quarterbacks to become successful. In 1993 I attended QBR as a player and was taught the basics of how to play the quarterback position. The skills and knowledge I obtained is what I try to pass on to my young quarterbacks. These skills today are just as important to me as a coach as they were then as a player.

I am Jeff Wainwright, head coach, of the Kinder Yellow Jackets of Kinder, Louisiana.

In the past eight years, I have brought numerous quarterbacks and receivers to the Arkansas camp, as many as 17 in one trip! During this time I have traded my pay stipend for the tuition of my varsity quarterback. This in itself shows how important QBR is to a developing quarterback.

Living in the south, my quarterbacks have attended many of the top-rated quarterback camps in the nation and year after year, the players enjoyed the learning experience of QBR the most. This is due to the large amount of individual attention each player receives at the basic fundamentals of playing quarterback or receiver.

Each year, I look forward to returning to QBR to give back by coaching in the camp that once started my career as a quarterback. It is my hope that quarterbacks will use the skills and knowledge from QBR to enhance their development as a skilled player. QBR was a wonderful experience for me in 1993, and as a coach now, I will make sure it is the same for future campers.

QBR Camper Testimonial

Dear Dr. Hayes and QBR Camp Staff:

I apologize for taking so long to compose this. I wanted to see if the QBR (California #2) camp would make an impact on my child's playing this season.

I can't say how happy Ty and I are that he attended your fantastic program! Ty had six receiving touchdowns in the first five games of the season and we aren't done yet!

The skills taught and the confidence gained are invaluable assets to any student athlete wishing to take their game to the next level. I appreciate the time and effort put into this camp.

Please keep up the good work and we'll see you next year.

Sincerely,

Kei Fuller (Ty Fuller's mother)
QBR California Camp # 2

Tips From Dr. John Mitchell, DC, DAAPM.

HEALTHY EATING - Start your day off with higher amounts of protein. Studies show those who consumed higher amounts of protein for breakfast has higher levels of energy and better performance on cognitive tests during the day. Also, protein will make you feel full better than high carbohydrates cereals, so you won’t overeat as well.

SELF-CARE - Getting enough quality sleep is getting more difficult for many people; practice, studying, long work hours, commuting hassles, family obligations, stress, and bad habits are a few interfering problems. One in particular is electronic! Turn off the internet/TV/radio one hour before bed. They cause increased brain activity and if used immediately before bed can disrupt sleep patterns.

FITNESS - The human shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body. It’s amazing range of motion is one of it’s weak points: it’s the most dislocated joint in the body! Everyday move your shoulder through all ranges of motion. Avoid repetitive movements in the same direction. If this is unavoidable, move your shoulder in the opposite direction multiple times when able.
