Non-Contact

QBR Camp is a NON-CONTACT camp. We believe that high school and youth players should learn the fundamentals of their positions without risking the chance of a season or career-ending injury.

Camp Length - 4Days & 3 Nights
Who Should Attend:
HIGH SCHOOL (Seniors, Juniors, Sophmores & Freshmen) and
YOUTH (Grades 6, 7 & 8)

Youth players receive the same on-field instruction as the high school players. Their position meetings are specifically geared to youth football. Please consider your camper’s maturity including whether he can get along with other boys from a variety of backgrounds and his ability to spend four days and three nights in a dorm setting away from home.

Instructional Groups
Players are grouped by position and grade in school.

A's ........ Grades 6, 7 & 8
B's ........ Sophomores & Freshmen
C's ........ Seniors & Juniors

Attending With Teammates
Strongly recommended! Players who attend with one or more of their teammates will have the opportunity to work on their timing and non-verbal communication during our five “Team” practice periods.

Attending Without Teammates
Single campers who attend without teammates receive the same instruction and number of repetitions as do teammates.

America’s #1 Football Camp
Quarterback and Receiver Camp is considered the premier fundamentals-based, non-contact football camp. Every camper is coached and treated as if he were a potential Heisman winner (Doug Flutie, 1984) and #1 NFL draft pick (David Carr, 2002 & Alex Smith, 2005). Our objective is to develop each player to his fullest potential and to teach the fundamentals of his position that are reinforced with hundreds of repetitions at each practice along with emphasizing character development and leadership.

QBR Camp Philosophy
QBR Camp is known for teaching the fundamentals of the passing game. For 46 years, QBR Camp has consistently done it better then any other camp (see testimonials from parents and coaches). .

Coaching Staff
Each camp is headed by a QBR Camp Head Coach who oversees the QBR Camp instructional program. QBR Camp coaches and staff are selected from quality college, high school and youth programs. The majority of QBR Camp coaches have previous QBR Camp coaching experience.

Small Group Instruction
QBR Camp’s coach to camper ratio averages 1:10, perfect for maximum repetitions with minimum fatigue. Campers rotate with their group through instructional stations where they learn specific drills, skills and actions and practice them repeatedly until they become habit.

9 Practices and 5 Position Meetings
A total of nine practices, with over 15 hours of on-field instruction and five position meetings, are held during camp. Parents, coaches and guests are welcome as observers.

Certified Athletic Trainer
Our campers’ health and safety is priority #1. A QBR Camp staff certified athletic trainer is at each camp to care for accidents, injuries, illnesses and medical emergencies.

Housing/Dorm Supervision
QBR Campers will live in campus dorms, two per room (except in California where they are housed in multi-player suites). Campers will be assigned a roommate based on: 1) name of preferred roommate listed on camper’s application; 2) same school; and 3) similar age and grade. Each camper will have his own bed and mattress. Check our website to see which camps have air-conditioned dorms. In lieu of air conditioning we recommend that campers bring an electric fan. QBR Camp staff and coaches live on the same floors as the campers and provide adult supervision throughout camp.

$60 Security/Key Deposit
A mandatory cash only security/key deposit of $60 shall be paid at check-in. Every camper must have his own room key. The deposit will be refunded at check-out provided there is no room damage and the room key is returned.

Meals and Snack Bar
All-you-can-eat-meals are provided by the host school. A snack bar is available each night after the last position meeting where food, drinks and snacks may be purchased.

Personal Valuables
Campers are responsible for their own valuables. QBR Camp assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen camper property. QBR Camp does not provide camp banking services.

Camp Merchandise
Campers may purchase QBR Camp instructional aids and practice gear at the QBR Camp merchandise tables throughout camp. Click here to see our QBR Camp Merchandise.

Leisure Time
Due to QBR Camp’s comprehensive instructional program, swimming, weight training, basketball or other recreational activities are not provided. We encourage campers to rest and relax between practice sessions to achieve maximum learning.

Transportation/ Directions to Camp
Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp. Our insurance coverage prohibits QBR Camp to transport or arrange carpools for campers. Campers who arrive before the opening day of camp must make their own off-campus accommodations. Airport shuttle information is available on the Football Camps Dates, Locations page.

QBR Football Training Camp Rules and Regulations

Parents and Guests :  Only campers and staff will be allowed in the dorms after the opening camp meeting at 1:30. Parents and guests attending practice sessions may not enter the practice field or interfere with players or coaches until after practice has ended. Parents and guests are welcome to attend meetings but are there only to observe.

Attending QBR Camp is a privilege. You are expected to follow all QBR Camp rules and regulations, both written below and those stated verbally at camp. Your personal safety is our primary concern. You represent your family, school and community and we expect the highest quality of behavior from every camper.  QBR Camp maintains the right to dismiss any camper for just cause, including violating the rules and regulations below without refund.

  1. If you find that any aspect of your QBR experience is not satisfactory during camp (e.g. roommate incompatibility, practice group you’re in, etc.) IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to notify the Camp Director or Head Coach IMMEDIATELY to voice your concern(s). QBR can fix things during camp; we cannot fix them once camp is over.
  2. Keep your dorm room locked! QBR is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal belongings. Campers must be vigilant in protecting their own property, valuables, and money. QBR CAMP does not provide banking services.
  3. Profanity, hazing, threatening or bullying behavior, off-color jokes, references to race, creed, ethnicity, nationality, religion, individual appearance, personal preferences or any other distinction are forbidden.
  4. Pre-existing injuries/illnesses/medical conditions (e.g. asthma, allergies, diabetes, epilepsy, etc.) shall be reported to the Camp Director prior to the first practice. QBR will not participate in holding or giving prescription medications to campers. If you need to be taped from a pre-existing injury or from an injury received during QBR, see the QBR Trainer for evaluation and if taping is needed have it done before practice. You are always required to be at practice on time, even if receiving treatment from the trainer. He/she will be available well before practice to tape you if needed.
  5. If you are sick or injured at QBR it is YOUR responsibility to notify the QBR Athletic Trainer, a QBR Coach, the QBR Head Coach, or the QBR Director. Each QBR staff member will have their name posted on their dorm room so campers can easily find a coach after campers have gone to bed.
  6. Driving and/or riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle during camp are strictly prohibited unless permission is received from the Head Coach or Camp Director. If a camper has driven his own car to camp and is leaving it at camp he must turn in his car keys to the Camp Director after checking in. Campers walk everywhere during camp.
  7. A $60 cash key/security deposit will be collected at check-in. Each camper is required to have his own room key. If you lose your key the lost key charge will be deducted from the $60 deposit.
  8. Roommates have been pre-assigned based on the name you listed as your roommate preference on your application, followed by same school, similar grade and age. Unauthorized room changes are prohibited. You are required to sleep in the room to which you were assigned.
  9. Keep the restrooms clean and tidy…and FLUSH the toilet after every use!!!!!
  10. Campers are responsible for maintaining their dorm room and common dorm areas (restrooms, lounges, hallways, elevators, etc.) in the same condition as they were found at the start of camp. Never remove window screens. Trash bags will be provided for each room. Alterations to the original condition of the dorms when you arrived including, but not limited to, damage, excessive litter, furniture that’s been moved, etc. are prohibited and any costs incurred to ameliorate the condition that exceed the $60 security/key deposit will be billed to your family and/or school/team.
  11. As soon as you enter your dorm room after check-in, look it over thoroughly for any pre-existing damage including broken furniture and windows, missing or torn screens etc. If there’s any pre-existing damage it is your responsibility to fill out the “QBR Camp Pre-Existing Room Damage” form given to you at check in. When you get to your room inspect your room carefully and make sure that you and your roommate list any damage on the back of the form and return it to the Camp Director before the first camp meeting at 1:30. This will protect you from being assessed room damage charges for which you are not responsible.
  12. Camp Check Out - Keep your dorm room neat and clean throughout camp. Before checking out of camp on the last day every camper’s room will be inspected by his dorm coach for damage, trash, furniture that’s been moved, etc. After your dorm coach has approved the condition of your room and the common areas on your floor he will give you a “Room Inspection and Check-Out” form signed by him. Take this form to camp check out along with your room key and receive your $60 key/security deposit provided you have your room key to turn in. You CANNOT check out without a signed form!
  13. Ordering food from off-campus (pizza, Chinese, etc.) is strictly forbidden. A snack bar operated by the host school will be open each night immediately following the night position meeting until 10:50 p.m.

Cross streets with caution. You are prohibited to be in any areas on campus other than those designated by the Head Coach and Camp Director.
  15. “IF YOU ARE ON TIME YOU ARE LATE!” Everything we do at QBR starts ON-TIME and being late is unacceptable. Be early for every QBR event. You are expected to participate in all scheduled activities including every practice, position meeting and meal, and to arrive no later than five minutes early for practice and position meetings. Only the QBR Athletic Trainer, Head Coach and Camp Director can give a camper permission to be absent or late from any camp event. If you are unable to physically participate in practice you will be expected to stay with your position group throughout practice unless instructed otherwise by the Athletic Trainer, Head Coach or Camp Director.
  16. It is forbidden to possess and/or use drugs of any type or form, including alcohol, tobacco products and all other drugs. Firecrackers, firearms, explosives, weapons of any kind, and gambling or games involving money, are forbidden.
  17. Turn off your room lights and unplug all electrical devices when you are not in your room.
  18. Do not handle fire-fighting equipment including alarms, extinguishers, hoses, valves, etc. unless there is an emergency. Check and memorize the fire escape routes from your dorm room and other buildings that we use on campus.
  19. Campers are prohibited from leaving camp without written permission from the Camp Director or Head Coach.
After lights are out the only reason to leave your room is to go to the bathroom or to contact your dorm coach.
  20. Excessively loud and disruptive noise (i.e. prohibiting others from sleeping or resting) caused by yelling, rough housing, and electronic devices, is prohibited. Always show respect to your roommate(s) and the other campers in the dorm. Quiet time, rest and sleep between practices and at night are essential for everyone.
  21. During meals you can go back for seconds provided you eat everything on your plate. No wasted food, please. Food cannot be taken out of the cafeteria. 23. Please no littering. We are guests of the host school and we want to show respect for the entire campus.
  24. Early checkouts are prohibited except when the camper’s parent/legal guardian/authorized adult has completed the “Early Checkout/ Withdrawal Authorization Form” and submitted it to the Camp Director or Head Coach. Forms are available from the QBR Director or Head Coach. Campers (commuters excepted) are prohibited from leaving camp unless in an emergency.
